Lotus Light Sees You Into the Distance

[Intro]

[Verse 1]

The temple gates have just opened in the early morning

Green across the whole lake already stretches beyond the horizon

You set your luggage among the shadows of blossoms

As though tinting your distant journey with bright colors too

[Pre-Chorus]

I want to give you this most passionate summer

Wherever you go, may your heart stay open and bright

[Chorus]

Let this expanse of June red see you on your way

Let every leaf hold open a patch of clear sky for you

I will not sing our parting into a heavy season of rain

Tuck the beautiful scenery into your courage

Let this expanse of June red see you on your way

May you return with eyes that see a wider world

[Instrumental Interlude]

[Verse 2]

The flowers bloom so earnestly in the sunlight

We speak our many words of care very softly

Not every farewell needs tears

Some faith stays beside us, helping us walk more steadily

[Pre-Chorus]

I want to give you this most passionate summer

Wherever you go, may your heart stay open and bright

[Chorus]

Let this expanse of June red see you on your way

Let every leaf hold open a patch of clear sky for you

I will not sing our parting into a heavy season of rain

Tuck the beautiful scenery into your courage

Let this expanse of June red see you on your way

May you return with eyes that see a wider world

[Bridge]

Remember this lake’s endless green

And remember the sincere heart of someone wishing you safe

When the next stretch of road asks you to lift your head

May this midsummer awaken in your heart once more

[Final Chorus]

Let this expanse of June red see you on your way

Let every leaf hold open a patch of clear sky for you

I will not sing our parting into a heavy season of rain

Tuck the beautiful scenery into your courage

Let this expanse of June red see you on your way

May you return with eyes that see a wider world

[Outro]

My footsteps have already passed beyond the flowers' shadows

My wishes still walk beside you in the wind
