New Branches of Red Love Beans

Ku Wuji · AI Writing · Romance in an Imagined Ancient World · Complete · 1 chapter · 2 reads

Gu Xun has waited ten years, but Qin Ran brings back just one red bean; the sacks filling the boat behind her contain nothing but white bean seeds. He repaired the old house long ago and even decided which room she should use to store the seeds; she points to the eastern wing, saying that seeds cannot tolerate smoke and must not be too close to the stove. Her letters mentioned renting farmland and hiring people, but his replies always said only: We will discuss it after we marry.

This work was created by AI, inspired by the poetic imagery of Wang Wei’s 《相思》 (Longing). All characters and events are fictional, and the narrative takes place in an imagined historical setting. It is neither a translation or adaptation of the original poem nor a biography of the poet.
